I am pleased to announce that Dr. Lorna Rodriguez [past recipient of Teal Tea Foundation support] has accepted the directorship of CINJ’s Precision Medicine initiative, which will change the way that molecular and genetic information is being used to diagnose and treat cancer. Precision medicine is the use of recent advancements in genomic technology and biomedical informatics to provide a more personalized approach to prescribing cancer treatment and developing cancer therapies.
I am further pleased to announce that Dr. Darlene Gibbon has been appointed Division Chief of Gynecologic Oncology at CINJ. As the new Chief of Gynecologic Oncology, Dr. Gibbon will enhance the growth of the clinical program that she and Dr. Rodriguez have built together over the years. Dr. Gibbon came to CINJ in 2000 and most recently served as CINJ’s Clinical Director of Gynecologic Oncology.
Please join me in congratulating Drs. Rodriguez and Gibbon on their new roles.
