We’d like to express our since appreciation to Showtime Charities for another great show and fantastic fund-raising event! We are so blessed to continue to have their support. When I see all of the work that goes into this, I’m in total awe.
I know how hard everyone worked to organize At The Hop. We loved it!! It was great fun to attend; perfect location; and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the night.
We extend our deep appreciation to all of the performers. We were dancing in our seats!!

Kristin G., a current Ambassador Level Girl Scout for troop 80472 is working towards her Gold Service Award. The Gold Award is the highest achievement for Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. only about 5% of all eligible girls earn the award. The key requirement is for the Girl Scout to plan an individual "Take Action" event which extends beyond the Girl Scout organization and provides a sustainable and lasting benefit to the girl's larger community.
Kristin's "Take Action" event is to bring awareness to ovarian cancer. Kristin has lost a grandmother to ovarian cancer and has an Aunt who is a survivor. In memory and honor to them, she has orchestrated an Ovarian Cancer Awareness Day event to take place on Sunday, August 29th, 2013. The Teal Tea Foundation had the pleasure of making Kristin's acquaintance recently when she and her troop volunteered to help with one of our events. We are reciprocating the support and joining Kristin on the 29th in New Brunswick, New Jersey at Saint Peter's University Hospital, will you join also?
Read more Comment 0We are very pleased to introduce Ms. Audrey Harris, the newest member of the Teal Tea Foundation Advisory Board. Ms. Harris begins her term immediately and will be at our next officer meeting to meet and greet everyone. Ms Harris has a long-term history of working with charitable organizations and of supporting the Teal Tea. She is currently working with Cecilia Braam in organizing the auction for the Theresa Roba event.
Following is a synopsis of her personal & professional life:
“I was born & bred in Bucks County; blessed to be part of a close knit family with 5 girls. Mom & Dad were both very active in their community, well into their late 80's. I thank them every day for the love, fine values, and solid work ethics with which I was raised.
As a NJ Bell/Bell Atlantic/Verizon twice-retired (Dec 2003 & Jan 2012) retiree, I have been active in their TelecomPioneers volunteer organization for over 30 years (Past Chapter President and current Treasurer). I am also currently involved with two (2) other charitable organizations; i.e. The Contemporary Club of Trenton (Recording Secty) and the Elks in Morrisville.
I am working two (2) days a week (Monday / Wednesday) as receptionist/new patient coordinator for Dr. Sadeer Hannush (eye surgeon) in Langhorne PA.”

Read more Comment 0The Foundation recently received an email from OCNA (Ovarian Cancer National Alliance) regarding the effects of "sequestration" that will take place shortly in Washington D.C. as a result of efforts (or lack of efforts) to balance the national budget. The effects can be devestating on medical research, as noted in the linked article, please consider reaching out to your elected representatives urging them not to cut important medical research funding such as cancer researching funding, specifically for ovarian cancer.
