Members of the Teal Tea Foundation had the opportunity to support their “sister” foundation, The Elixir Fund, on Sunday, September 30 at Mercer Oaks in Princeton. Led by Executive Director, Meg McQuarrie, the Elixir Fund honors Meg’s brother, Kevin,
who lost his fight to cancer. Kevin called his chemotherapy treatments, his “Elixir”. He asked his friends and family to do so as well. As a result, the Elixir fund developed a philosophy of helping cancer patients and their care givers through the cancer
journey in a way that makes the experience more positive and bearable. The Teal Tea Foundation works closely with the Elixir Fund in a partnership of sustaining and helping each other achieve their missions. The Elixir Fund is national, so it has the resources and contacts to reach out and find answers for patients and care-givers on a huge geographical scale.
The East Coast Cocktail Party and Silent Auction helps to sustain the work of the Elixir Fund. The Teal Tea Foundation refers patients with questions or who need the kind of help or resources that the Foundation doesn’t specialize in, to the Elixir Fund. For example, the Teal Tea Foundation recently had a caregiver request information about how to provide tasty, healthy meals for her mother-in-law who is being treated for ovarian cancer in Staten Island. The Elixir Fund had the answers and provide several resources to contact.
We are proud to work together with this stellar organization. For more information, see

The Elixir Fund and the Teal Tea Foundation are members of a collaborative organization called, “One Force to Make a Difference”. One Force brings together organizations from NJ and the Delaware Valley who share similar missions so that volunteers can work together to help each other focus on and achieve their goals.
