Kristin G., a current Ambassador Level Girl Scout for troop 80472 is working towards her Gold Service Award. The Gold Award is the highest achievement for Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. only about 5% of all eligible girls earn the award. The key requirement is for the Girl Scout to plan an individual "Take Action" event which extends beyond the Girl Scout organization and provides a sustainable and lasting benefit to the girl's larger community.

Kristin's "Take Action" event is to bring awareness to ovarian cancer. Kristin has lost a grandmother to ovarian cancer and has an Aunt who is a survivor. In memory and honor to them, she has orchestrated an Ovarian Cancer Awareness Day event to take place on Sunday, August 29th, 2013. The Teal Tea Foundation had the pleasure of making Kristin's acquaintance recently when she and her troop volunteered to help with one of our events. We are reciprocating the support and joining Kristin on the 29th in New Brunswick, New Jersey at Saint Peter's University Hospital, will you join also?
